Written by EV Charge Compare · Last reviewed 6 Nov 2026 · Live figures update from the prices we check

We don't yet have enough recently checked rapid prices to rank networks. Check back soon, or see every price we hold on our public charging page. We don't cover every network.

Cheapest in our data: pay-as-you-go rapid (50–149 kW)

Not enough checked prices yet.

This list updates automatically from prices we've checked in the last 60 days. Prices vary by site, so always check the charger or app before you plug in.

Typical prices by charger speed

  • Slow (under 8 kW, often lamp-post): about 59.0p per kWh
  • Rapid (50–149 kW): a figure we don't have enough data for yet
  • Ultra-rapid (150 kW and above): a figure we don't have enough data for yet

Ways to pay less

  • Use slower chargers when you have time. They're usually cheaper per kWh.
  • Look for off-peak prices. Some networks charge less overnight or at quiet times.
  • If you use one network a lot, a monthly subscription may pay for itself. Our calculator shows the break-even point.

Where our prices come from

Under the Public Charge Point Regulations 2023, operators must publish open data about their chargers. Where a network publishes prices we can reuse, we read them automatically. Otherwise we check prices by hand and show the date. See how we compare.

This is an estimate. Check final prices with the supplier. We don't cover every tariff.
